Talk School | MAY 2025: Word-Level Comprehension & Retention

  • SCENARIO: Speech therapists and an individual student work within their regular 1:1 therapy session. Testing scenarios ensure that the Reed app is complimenting and augmenting each therapists established therapy plan and each student’s business-as-usual progress plan.

    FOCUS: Reed is introduced in place of conventional analog tools when students are learning letter-sound combinations or net-new vocabulary. Students will engage Reed in real-time reveal of standard letters to Association Method encoding.

    GOALS: Talk Therapists will assess the efficacy of these sensory-rich learning interactions in student engagement, comprehension, retention, and progress toward their IEP objectives.


Trial 2
Adaptive Translation of Speech

Talk School | JULY/AUG 2025: Conversational Comprehension

  • SCENARIOS:

    (1) Education settings are occupational Therapy and group activities sessions, that are centered around multi-step instruction and Activities of Daily Life (ADL).

    (2) Select Talk School Parent households will bring Reed into their homes for use in everyday interactions

    FOCUS: Educators and parents can capture their natural speech into reed and have it translated into a multisensory output for kids to engage with, in the moment.

    GOALS: Evaluate the accuracy of translating the core meaning behind spontaneous speech, and the efficacy of student comprehension in the moment from the translation.
