Reed: Putting
neurodivergent
learners at the
center of the
conversation.
The non-profit sibling to Reed AI, the Reed Foundation for Adaptive Impact, exists to drive innovation for under-resourced neurodiverse communities, to help them connect, express, and thrive through technology.
Every day, millions of neurodivergent children struggle to comprehend a world that doesn’t speak their language.
The typical words they hear and see do not always make sense. The tools they’re given often fall short. And the people who love and support them are left without what they truly need: a way to connect.

Dr. Richard M. Jay, Chairman
“The prevalence of autism diagnosis is far outpacing the resources and innovations required to support neurodiverse families – that’s why we exist.”
OUR VISION
To create a world where understanding, expression, and connection can be a universally shared experience for everyone.
OUR MISSION
Fuel innovation that adapts and transforms everyday moments into powerful opportunities for learning and connection within neurodiverse communities.
WHAT WE DO
Provide funding grants to accelerate innovation R&D, such as Adaptive Sensory Language Processing, to enhance communication learning in new ways.
Broaden access to innovation through device and software subsidies that help bridge the gap between typical and nontypical learners in under-resourced communities.
Make Innovation more inclusive by facilitating community partnerships between private technology initiatives and schools, therapists, and families to explore opportunities for everyday impact and real-world technology pilots.
HOW WE DO IT
Listening first and building with the neurodiverse community, not just for it.
Acting with urgency, to convert research into real-world tools — because our families don’t have the luxury of waiting.
Pushing the boundaries of what is possible, until neurodivergent learners are no longer on the margins, but at the center of the conversation.
Supporting progress
with and for the
nontypical
community.
The Foundation is driven to facilitate real-world progress in communities. Central to our mission is facilitating co-design partnerships within nontypical populations to identify impactful opportunities for educators and therapists, and deliver outcomes that can make a difference for families – today.
